Pre-Procedural Instructions

-Eat a light meal prior to coming to the office.

-Take any prescription or nonprescription medications that you are on.

-Take 800 mg of Ibuprofen every 8 hours the day of the procedure.

-Take 800 mg of Ibuprofen the morning of the procedure right before you come to the office.

-Make sure you obtain all the medications prescribed by your physician a week or two before the procedure. Some of these medications are not available at local pharmacies and need to be ordered. This will allow time for the pharmacy to order the medications and have them ready before the day of your procedure.

-Bring any medications prescribed by your physicians with you.

-You should arrive to the office about an hour prior to your procedure to allow enough time for the Toradol intramuscular injection to work before the procedure is started.

-You can plan on being in the office about an hour and a half to two hours. The actual procedure is very quick, it will last only 5-10 minutes but you will need to arrive to the office one hour prior to the procedure. You also need to remain in the office for a short period after the procedure to ensure that there are no problems.

-You will feel a little drowsy from the medication administered to you, therefore you should arrange for transportation back to your house after the procedure. It is not advisable to drive yourself after the procedure.
